Khavda: SWREL Secures Rs 1,381 Cr Order for Three Solar Projects From Adani Green

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited, a renewable EPC company, has signed a five-year Strategic Partnership Framework Agreement and secured its first purchase order from Adani Green Energy Limited, India’s largest and fastest-growing renewable energy developer.

The company said in a release that it has secured a Balance of System (BOS) package order for three solar power projects at one of the world’s largest RE projects at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Gujarat. The order involves the supply of goods and onsite services, with a total value of approximately INR 1,381 crore, excluding taxes.

Speaking about this development, Chandra Kishore Thakur, Global CEO, Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Group, said, “We are delighted to announce a strategic 5-year partnership framework agreement with Adani Green, and also our largest domestic EPC order this fiscal. With this order win, SWREL has now achieved more than INR 6,450 crore of order inflows this fiscal, and our pipeline continues to remain robust.”

Sterling and Wilson & Adani Green's Previous Projects

Sterling and Wilson previously collaborated with Adani Green in 2021 for a 75 MW solar project. SWREL signed a share purchase agreement to acquire a 100% stake in two SPVs holding 75 MW operating solar projects of Sterling & Wilson, a Shapoorji Pallonji group company.

The projects, commissioned in 2017, are located in Telangana and have long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with the Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana.
