India’s KETO Motors on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Telangana government to set up an electric bus manufacturing facility in Jadcherla with an investment of Rs 300 crore.

The agreement was signed during the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025. The plant will focus on producing 9-metre electric buses and is expected to create more than 2,000 direct jobs over the next three years, the company said.

Statutory Clearances Through TG-iPASS

The state government will facilitate statutory clearances through its TG-iPASS single-window system.

Telangana’s IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu said the investment would support the state’s efforts to expand its electric-mobility ecosystem.

KETO Motors Director Venkatesh Challa said the new facility would expand the company’s manufacturing capacity and support its long-term growth plans.

The Telangana Rising Global Summit, held at Bharat Future City, showcased the state’s industrial roadmap and included the release of the Telangana Rising 2047 vision document.

KETO Motors, based in Hyderabad, manufactures electric three-wheelers and next-generation electric buses. The company has a technology partnership with Taiwan’s Tron Energy Technology to produce electric buses for domestic and export markets.
