Kazam, an EV energy solutions providers, has announced a strategic partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL) to boost public EV charging accessibility across the country.

Under this collaboration, more than 5,350 HPCL EV chargers, including 3,043 DC fast chargers, have been integrated into the Kazam app via its OCPI-powered platform. These chargers are strategically deployed along highways, major urban centers, and key HPCL retail outlets, aiming to make EV charging more accessible and hassle-free for users.

This integration will help EV owners locate, view, and navigate HPCL’s charging infrastructure in real time using the Kazam app. The partnership aims to simplify EV adoption by making charging easier, faster, and more reliable, strengthening India’s public EV charging ecosystem.

Supporting the PM eDrive Initiative

This initiative aligns closely with the Government of India’s PM eDrive scheme, which encourages innovation and the growth of sustainable transportation networks nationwide.

HPCL, which operates over 24,000 retail outlets across India, has been actively developing EV charging hubs at its fuel stations as part of its national decarbonisation strategy.

Smarter, Connected Charging Ecosystem

Beyond real-time visibility, Kazam’s OCPI (Open Charge Point Interface) platform enables interoperability with multiple charging protocols, offering unified access to charging stations across different networks, the company said. It also provides advanced backend analytics and monitoring tools for charge point operators (CPOs) and e-mobility service providers (eMSPs), ensuring smooth operations, transparency, and scalability.
