Juniper Commission's 70 MW Maiden Wind Project In Gujarat

Delhi-based renewable energy power producer Juniper Green Energy has commissioned a 105 MW Jalkot Solar Power Project in Maharashtra.

With this project, the company claimed to enhance the region with 105 MW of solar energy. This initiative reflects Juniper Green Energy’s continued support for expanding India’s renewable energy sector. The project was commissioned in record time, almost nine months before the scheduled COD of the Project.

The Jalkot Solar Power Project is expected to deliver power under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. (MSEDCL) which exemplifies a commitment to both economic value and environmental stewardship. The project is expected to produce approximately 200 MUs annually and contribute to reducing Maharashtra’s carbon emissions by an estimated 1,78,569 tCO2 each year.

Furthermore, it also claims to provide power to about 38,085 households and support the state in transitioning to more sustainable energy sources. On the commissioning, Naresh Mansukhani, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Juniper Green Energy, expressed his appreciation for the team’s efforts, “The start of operations of this project almost 9 months before the Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD) of the project is a tribute to our team’s exceptional work.
