Joint Solar to Build 300 MW Solar Manufacturing Plant in Ghaziabad, Eyes N. India Expansion

Uttar Pradesh-based solar manufacturing Joint Solar is setting up its solar panel production facility in the Modinagar district of Ghaziabad. While sharing these details in a press release, Joint Solar said, “The project is backed by a 300 MW production capacity and more than 25 years of expertise." The latest news of a solar plant in UP is a far cry from the situation just three years back, when the state had a TOTAL of 300 MW of capacity within. Now, with Avaada, Alpex, Jont, Shweta Solar and others , total capacity within the state could be pushing 10 GW by next year, a huge change indeed.

Joint Solar mentioned it is embarking on a phase-wise expansion strategy, beginning with North India, where it plans to establish 200+ distributors and 3,000+ retail touchpoints by 2027. The initial focus areas include Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh, ensuring greater accessibility to world-class solar panels across these regions.”

Joint Solar Forges OEM Collaborations & Dealer Partnerships

Joint Solar said it’s also forging OEM collaborations and dealer partnerships to make its panels available across India.

It explained, “These partnerships will ensure that the latest technology and reliable solar solutions are accessible to every corner of the country. The company’s future roadmap includes expanding into battery storage solutions, hybrid systems, and building strategic export partnerships, further solidifying its position as a global renewable energy leader.”
