ITI Issues EoI Seeking Business Associate for 100 kW Solar Plant

ITI has issued an EoI inviting proposals for the selection of business associates for the commissioning of 100 kW solar plant for the Ambattur Milk Dairy.

State-owned ITI Limited has issued an Expression of Interest (EoI) inviting proposals for the selection of business associates for the supply, erection, and commissioning of 100 kW grid-connected solar PV plant for the Ambattur Milk Dairy. The selected bidders will have a period of 150 days or 6 months from the date of issue of the letter of award to complete the work on the project.

To be eligible, the bidders must have an average annual turnover of minimum Rs 1 Crore for the last three years (FY 16-17, FY 17-18, FY 18-19) in their chosen field. And, the Bidder should have completed similar works to value of Rs 30 lakh in a single order for any State /Central Governments /Defense /Autonomous Institutions in the same period.

As per the provisions mentioned in the EoI, ITI reserves the rights to split the balance orders (after taking out the ITI portion) in 70 percent : 30 percent ratio between H1 and H2 (Highest margin bidders) for speeding up the work, provided H2 bidder matches H1 margins offered, and wherever technically feasible.

The last date for bid submission is November 15, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same date. The estimated cost of the work mentioned is Rs 49.5 lakh and all bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 49,500 along with their bids.

In September, the firm had issued a Request for Proposal (RfP), inviting bids from eligible bidders to procure solar energy for one of its premises in Bengaluru through open access under a 3rd party PPA model. ITI plans to enhance the use of renewable energy in the data centre facility to bring it under the “Green Data Centre” tag which will contribute towards cutting carbon emission in the environment.

The scope of the tender required the selected bidders to supply of the contracted energy to ITI at the injection point, and insuring that the total contracted energy is equivalent to 6,00,000 KWh monthly. The Contract Period shall be 10 Years from the commercial operation date (COD) of the Project.
