IREDA Reports Loan Book Growth To Reach ₹79,960 Crore IREDA

Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd (IREDA) in its provisional financial results for the quarter that ended on June 30, 2025 has hinted at a progressive growth. Moreover, the company reported a robust growth in loan sanctions, disbursements, and the loan book. The company’s latest results is result are subject to audit.

IREDA’s provisions results saw an increase in loan sanctions, which rose 29% year-on-year (YoY) to reach ₹11,740 crore (June 2024) from ₹9,136 crore from the previous year (June 2023). Whereas, the company’s loan disbursements also surged 31% to ₹6,981 crore in the latest quarter (June 2025) compared with ₹5,326 crore in the same period last year (June 2024). Moreover, the company’s loan book stood at ₹79,960 crore as of June 30, 2025, witnessing a 27% increase from ₹62,950 crore in the same period a year before.

In a corporate presentation, IREDA said its gross loan portfolio grew from ₹47,076 crore in March 2023 to ₹59,698 crore in March 2024, reaching ₹76,282 crore by March 2025. About 69% of IREDA’s total disbursed loans for renewable energy generation projects are linked to operational, or commissioned, assets. Around 83% of the gross renewable energy loan portfolio is secured, while nearly 73% of loans have been extended to private sector borrowers. As of the latest update, the Government of India holds a 75% stake in IREDA, while institutional and retail investors own the remaining 25%. Retail investors account for 87% of the public shareholding.

IREDA Continues Growth From Q4 FY25 Performance

In Q4 FY25, IREDA reported a full-year profit after tax (PAT) of ₹1,699 crore for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2025, marking a 36% increase from the previous year. For the quarter, PAT rose 49% year-on-year to ₹502 crore. Profit before tax (PBT) climbed 31% to ₹630 crore, while revenue from operations rose 37% to ₹1,904 crore.

For FY25, IREDA’s standalone net worth rose 20% to ₹10,266 crore. The loan book expanded 28% to ₹76,281 crore. For the full year, the firm posted a PBT of ₹2,104 crore, up 25% year-on-year, and revenue of ₹6,742 crore, up 36%.
