INOX Air Products (INOXAP) entered into a long-term partnership with Grew Energy Private to supply ultra-high purity (UHP) nitrogen for Grew Energy’s upcoming 3 GW Solar PV Cell manufacturing facility at Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh.

In a press release, INOXAP said it will invest and develop a dedicated pipeline network under the agreement, from its existing Air Separation Unit (ASU) in Narmadapuram to ensure reliable and round-the-clock supplies. For Inox, this announcement follows a similar plan for an onsite gas plant at Premier Energies facilities.

INOXAP will supply ultra-high purity Nitrogen to support the precision manufacturing needs of Grew Energy’s manufacturing of photovoltaic solar Cells at their Narmadapuram facility.

This partnership will not only meet the high-purity gas requirements of Grew Energy’s facility but will also add to the region’s growing industrial infrastructure. The Solar PV cell manufacturing facility is expected to begin in early 2026, in line with Grew’s commissioning timeline. Narmadapuram has seen a slew of solar firms make a beeline, attracted by the incentives on offer from the MP government that cover availability of land, electricity and other tax benefits.

About The Collaboration

Speaking about this partnership, Diganta Sarma, Head – Strategy & Business Development, INOX Air Products, said, “This long-term agreement marks a major milestone in bolstering India’s solar manufacturing ecosystem by securing a reliable and sustainable supply of high-purity industrial gases. Such partnerships not only help nation-wide development but also contribute to the micro-level regional industrial growth, which is a collateral benefit of such partnerships.”

Nirmal Jain, Vice President - Engineering & Projects, Grew Energy Private Limited, added, “At Grew Energy, our vision is to make India a global hub for manufacturing of Solar PV cells, and we believe strong partnerships will play a major role in this journey. Having INOX Air Products as our gas supply partner builds on our confidence to achieve our vision.”

Previous Collaboration

Earlier in 2025, INOX Air Products (INOXAP) earlier deal with Premier Energies is for a  20-year period where it would install and commission a cryogenic Air Separation Unit (ASU) to supply 7,000 Nm³/h of 5N-grade gaseous nitrogen and 250 Nm³/h of ultra-high-purity 6N-grade gaseous oxygen, along with additional liquid products, to Premier Energies’ greenfield solar cell manufacturing facility at Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh. The ASU is expected to be commissioned next year.

As a procurer of renewable energy, the company also agreed in May this year to procure 75 MW of hybrid renewable energy from Serentica Renewables. Under this agreement, Serentica will supply hybrid renewable energy to INOXAP through its Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) project, enabling competitive tariffs and flexible power usage across multiple INOXAP locations in four different states.

INOXAP has also partnered with First Solar, signing a 20-year agreement with the American solar technology company for the design, development, installation, and operation of a cryogenic nitrogen generator to supply high-purity nitrogen for First Solar's new manufacturing facility in Pillaipakkam, Tamil Nadu. INOXAP’s cryogenic nitrogen generator will have a capacity of 2,400 Nm³/h, supplying nitrogen and other industrial gases for use in First Solar’s manufacturing processes.
