Green Stocks Nov 17- Stocks Rise With Market

November continues to offer more hope than substance, as stocks rose across the board on multiple positive cues, some real, some not so much. While the NDA's resounding win in Bihar removes a possible speed breaker, the US trade deal continues to cast a shadow, albeit a possibly shortening one, as hopes rise of an announcement by month-end.

The exemptions granted to key food stuffs by the Trump administration, which benefits some Indian exporters as well, adds to the belief that the US sees an end date for the punitive tariffs at least, as it seeks to ensure it does not lose out on a net basis. A deal announcement, however, is likely to come with inbuilt issues that could cause trouble, especially if the deal requires concessions on issues like corn, soya, and dairy imports, seen as a red line to cross by many in India, not necessarily the stock markets.  

For green stocks like GK Energy, a strong Q2 came at just the right time to benefit from the sentiment upswing even more, as most other stocks also rose. Ironically, it is the Waaree twins, Waaree RTL, and Waaree Energies that stayed on top today, after being much more resilient through the month. That even adding 3.6 GW in capacity in the past week did not move the stock indicates just how much the narrative has shifted to margins over capacity leadership for Waaree.

The outlook for Q3 remains strong for most of the stocks in the green pack, and that will make a good case for these stocks to comfortably keep pace or even outpace any market mobility from here.
