Green Stocks Nov 11- Results Decide Price Movements on Another Volatile Day
It was all about results today, as the experience of three of the stocks in the green pack showed today. Thus, while the much hyped Borosil Renewables delivered by swinging back into profit and a rise in the stock, a sequential decline over the quarter for Solex Energy, and another ordinary set of numbers from SJVN saw both stocks decline today.
With the green pack stocks mostly aligned to present-day financials and prospects over the next three to four quarters, as it should be normally, the signs are clear of an industry that is maturing as fast as it went from infancy to high growth. A new period of moderate growth seems close at hand for many firms, be it developers, EPC firms or manufacturers, as they build on an ever larger base. The days of revenue growth that were routinely in the three figures seem set to end by the next quarter or so.
However, that hardly makes these stocks lose their appeal, if you see the long-term picture. At a predicted CAGR of anything between 15% to 30% across the board for the next few years, the green pack continues to pack far more potential and possibilities than most industry sectors today. Many firms will continue to discover fresh upsides for growth, be it from a structural shift like more energy storage projects or internal efficiencies and innovations.
For investors, these are the firms that will continue to deliver high returns, if not the multibagger returns of the past. Other possible triggers, like a US-India trade deal could add significant momentum for many. So keep an eye out, and your ears open, the next big opportunity might already be whispering its here.
