Huawei Digital Power has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Peak Energy, a Singapore-based Independent Power Producer (IPP), to expand renewable energy adoption across the Asia-Pacific region’s commercial and industrial (C&I) sector. The agreement was formalised at SNEC 2025, one of the largest solar energy events globally.
The MoU, signed by Gavin Adda, CEO of Peak Energy, and Nate Luo, Vice President of Huawei Digital Power Singapore, outlines a joint commitment to develop a 700 megawatt-peak (MWp) pipeline of solar and energy storage projects across several APAC countries.
Focus on Execution Across Multiple Markets
The collaboration brings together Huawei’s advanced digital power solutions and Peak Energy’s strong regional presence. Peak Energy has already established local commercial and technical teams to support projects in countries such as Japan, Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Thailand.
Huawei will contribute its Smart PV and energy storage technologies, designed to improve energy generation, system reliability, and overall cost efficiency. These solutions aim to support the long-term performance and sustainability of corporate power purchase agreements (PPAs) across the region.
Gavin Adda, CEO of Peak Energy, said the partnership marks a crucial step in helping businesses across Asia cut energy costs and carbon emissions. “This collaboration allows us to integrate Huawei’s top-tier technologies into our offerings, giving our solar and battery storage customers access to high-performance, reliable systems,” he stated.
Nate Luo from Huawei added that the alliance reflects the company’s continued commitment to clean energy development in Asia-Pacific. “By combining digital power expertise with trusted local execution, we aim to support corporate clients in meeting their decarbonisation goals and enhancing energy resilience,” he said.
The partnership is expected to drive significant growth in renewable energy infrastructure across the region, supporting broader clean energy targets and climate commitments.
