Hoymiles Launches Hybrid Inverter Series With AI-Based Energy Management

Hoymiles has launched its HIS-(3-6)L-G3 Series, a single-phase hybrid inverter platform for residential applications. According to the company, the inverter series is available in 3 kW to 6 kW power classes and is designed for use in integrated home energy systems. It supports parallel operation of up to 10 units, allowing system capacity to be expanded based on demand.

The HIS-(3-6)L-G3 Series is integrated with the S-Miles Cloud platform for monitoring and system management. Hoymiles said the platform provides real-time diagnostics, remote monitoring, and performance tracking. The company added that the configuration process can be completed in approximately five minutes. The unit is rated IP66 for dust and water resistance.

Technical Specifications

The inverter incorporates Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology and operates with a 100-volt start-up threshold, which the company said enables earlier generation under low-light conditions. It also includes an AI-based Energy Management System (EMS) designed to support self-consumption, peak shaving, and time-of-use optimisation.

For backup applications, the inverter features UPS-level switching intended to allow near-instant transition during grid outages. Hoymiles said the unit provides up to 200% overload capability for short-duration peak loads.

Additional features include dual MPPT tracking, multiple operating modes, and compatibility with generators, heat pumps, and selected smart loads.

The company said the HIS hybrid inverter series is part of its residential product portfolio as distributed energy systems continue to expand in various markets.
