HEC Infra Projects Limited has secured a new work order worth Rs 16.35 crore from Advait Greenergy Private Limited for a battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Gujarat.
Under the contract, HEC Infra will be responsible for the supply, erection, testing and commissioning of all balance-of-system (BoS) components, covering both electrical and civil works. The work will be carried out on a delivery-at-place basis at the 220 kV Radhanpur substation in Patan district.
Fast Emerging BESS Market
The project forms part of a 60 MW / 115.37 MWh battery energy storage system, and is expected to be completed within 12 months, the company said in a regulatory filing with the National Stock Exchange.
HEC Infra said the order strengthens its position in the fast-emerging energy storage segment and opens the door for bidding on similar projects with both private players and government agencies in other states.
No Party Related Transactions
The company also clarified that the order does not involve any related-party transactions and that none of its promoters or promoter group entities have any interest in Advait Greenergy.
The development comes at a time when battery energy storage is gaining traction in India, driven by the growing share of renewable energy on the grid and the need for improved reliability and flexibility.
HEC Infra Projects Limited is an Ahmedabad-based engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company primarily serving infrastructure and electrification sectors across India.
