The Haryana New and Renewable Energy Department has now opened the PM-KUSUM scheme state portal. In a public notice, the department announced the opening of the same from November 22 to November 30 for the solar pump applicants. The department said that the beneficiaries can use the state portal to submit their share of the investment and also select the vendors.

As per the provisions of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), the government has allowed six categories of solar pumps. It includes DC surface (monoblock) pumps with normal controllers, 7.5 HP DC submersible pumps with normal controllers, and others. The public notice specified the total share the beneficiary has to bear based on their categories. 

While the lowest share for beneficiary stands at Rs 53,926 for the 3HP surface monoblack pump with normal controller, the highest cost is for the 10 HP AC submersible pump with universal solar pump controller where the beneficiary has to spend around Rs 2.06 lakh as their share. 

“The PM-KUSUM state portal for the selection of the type of solar water pumps from applicants of tube well connections of discoms up to 10 HP was opened from November 10 to November 18. A total of 108 applicants have submitted their choice for the type and capacity of a solar water pump. Further, the applications were invited on the SARAL portal of NIC from October 23 to November 154 from interested participants,” the document of the Haryana government read.

It said that a total of 48,386 applications were received on the said portal. As per the norms of the scheme, the family who already had been covered under the solar pump scheme was not eligible to get another solar water pumping system, irrespective of its capacity and location. 

The government said that it received several applications on SARALand from discoms. It included 48,494 applications on the portal, 2,196 applications against the same PPP, 1,192 applications from existing work orders, and 3,855 orders received through re-applications.
