Gujarat Leads With 379 MW Additions In Wind Energy In Jul-Sep

September -2022 vs August 2022

In September 2022, India added 461.4 MW of Wind energy. Comparing it with what India added in August 2022, we can see a growth of 48%.

Q2 of CY-2022 vs Q3 of CY-2022

In the Q1 of FY-22, India added a total of 430.45 MW of wind energy. Whereas in Q2 of FY-22, India added 878.05 MW of Wind energy. In the second quarter, the wind energy capacity of India showed exponential growth of 103.98%.

Q3-2022 vs Q3 2021 (July-August-September)

If we do a Y-o-Y comparison of Q2 of FY-22 to Q2 of FY-21, we see India added 383.8 MW in 2021, whereas in 2022, India added 878.05 MW. In Q2 of 2022, India added 120% more wind energy in comparison to Q2 of 2021.

September 2022 vs September 2021

Now let's do a Y-o-Y comparison of September. In September 2022, India added 461.4 MW of wind energy. Whereas in September 2021, India added 179.3 MW of wind energy. Here we can see a growth of 157%.

January-September 2022 vs January-September 2021 vs January-September 2020

From Jan to Sept in 2022, India added a total of 1583.38 MW of wind energy. While in 2021, India added 1246.3 MW of wind energy and in 2020 India added, 618.97 MW of wind energy.

From 2020 to 2021, Indian wind energy capacity saw a growth of 101.35%. Whereas, from 2021 to 2022 we can see a growth in Indian wind energy capacity by 27%.

Between July-September 2022

According to the report data, Gujarat added 379 MW of wind energy. Madhya Pradesh added 324 MW. Karnataka added 86 MW & Tamil Nadu added 7.5 MW of wind energy in this quarter. Here we can see the Indian states contribution percentage in wind energy installations:
