Gujarat, KP Group Ink ₹8,000 Cr MoU To Build Hydrogen & EV Fuel Stations By 2026
The Gujarat government recently entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KP Group on October 9, 2025, to establish Hydrogen and Electric Vehicle (EV) fuel stations across the state. The collaboration, concluded in Mehsana, was part of the ‘Investment Promotion Activity’ for the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference.
The Gujarat based group has proposed to develop hydrogen and EV fuel stations across Gujarat to support the clean energy ecosystem and e-mobility infrastructure. The project is expected to be developed in the Banaskantha district with an investment of around ₹8,000 crore. It is projected to be completed by 2026, creating around 1,000 jobs.
The Gujarat government has also stated that it will facilitate KP Group in obtaining necessary permissions, registrations, approvals, and clearances from the concerned state departments, as per existing policies, rules, and regulations of the Gujarat government. The MoU aims to enable KP Group to establish the aforesaid project in a time-bound manner.
KPI Green’s Previous Collaboration
KP Group has previously collaborated with Delta Electronics India, a prominent energy and power management solutions provider, by signing three strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs). This collaboration spans three high-impact areas: Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Green Hydrogen and EV Charging Infrastructure, and Solar PV Inverters.
Additionally, this MoU focuses on integrated green hydrogen refueling and EV charging infrastructure. KP Group will lead the development of green hydrogen production plants powered by renewable energy, while Delta will contribute critical technologies, including energy management systems, hydrogen compression and dispensing components, as well as EV charging hardware and software such as power management, compression, and integrated energy management systems.
The two companies will jointly design and implement green hydrogen stations and EV charging hubs across India. Delta will supply EV chargers, including AC and DC fast chargers, energy management systems, and software platforms for real-time monitoring and billing. The collaboration will also focus on skill development, with Delta training KP Group teams for safe and efficient station operations.
