GRIDCO Floats Tender for Captive Floating Solar Projects Across 5,195 Acres in Odisha

GRIDCO has tendered a total of 5195 acres of area to GRIDCO, through this tender, to build floating solar projects for captive use. It has sought online bids till  December 30, 2025.

GRIDCO has recently issued a tender through Premium-based Competitive Bidding (PBCB) to allocate water surfaces at Rengali Reservoir in Odisha. GRIDCO, through this tender, aims to build floating solar projects for captive use. It has sought online bids till  December 30, 2025.

In Odisha, out of the total 5195 acres of water surface areas tendered by GRIDCO in the reservoir, 2423 acres of Water Surface area are covered under section A. Whereas, section B covers 2772 acres of water surface area. The bidder would visit and examine the work site and its surroundings to gather all necessary information for preparing their Bid response/proposal.

Scope of Work

Under this tender, the bidder will bear the costs of the site visit without GRIDCO being liable for any losses incurred during the visit. Additionally, the bidder would also be held responsible for gathering all necessary information about the site, surroundings, working conditions, weather, etc., before submitting the bid response/proposal.

The bidder is required to submit their Detailed Project Report (DPR) within 45 days of receiving the Letter of Award (LoA) once the DPR is approved. Additionally, the water surface will be allocated to the bidder, and a lease agreement will be executed with the Department of Water Resources (DoWR), of the Odisha Government, filing which the bidder has GRIDCO has all right to cancel the LoA and forfeit the CPBG.
