Green Stocks Sep 17: Waaree RTL Stands Out Again

For the second consecutive day, Waaree RTL was licked at the upper circuit. This ability from Waaree to attract the many investors who seemed to have left it only a week ago, could not be replicated by a new listing, module, and cell maker Premier Energies, which continues to lose ground as it seeks a stable base. Having delivered over 100% returns to investors in the IPO, the correction one feels will not unduly worry anyone yet.

Adani Green is another stock which seems to have restored investors' faith, continuing from the sharp rise yesterday to finish in the green.

Announcements by India's green energy leaders at the Re-invest 24 event in Gujarat will provide a lot of support to investors sold on the green energy story. Announcements of capacity additions and investment plans have come up thick and fast at Re-Invest laying a roadmap for a long period of growth. 2024-25 of course is set to be the biggest year on record for capacity additions at 35 GW, a level that could be twice as high as the previous high. Does that mean every renewable stock will be a winner? Of course not. But it does make a very strong case to keep a sharp eye for opportunities, both present and emerging, in the sector for investors.
