Green Stocks Nov 22: Market Rebounds, Green Stocks Trail

For once, a strong day at the markets left Green Stocks behind. Of course, not all stocks were left behind, as Waaree Renewable Technologies, after a couple of weeks in relative obscurity, shone with a 5% jump. A surprising performance came from Shakti Pumps, which gave up most gains of the week to end over 3% down despite today being the last day probably to get the benefit of the Bonus issue.
The larger caps in the space, from beleaguered Adani Green (down another 8%) to Premier Energies (down over 2%) and Waaree Energies all stayed in the red. Wind energy firm Suzlon, after surprising on the upside yesterday, also corrected today. The relative surprise was PSU SJVN, which rose over 4% on the back of a strong pipeline of 8 GW of projects of which some could be commissioned by March 2025, besides a strong future pipeline as well.
