On a day when the market couldn't quite make a decisive move in any direction save for the small cap and midcap indexes, our green stocks pack mirrored the same as well. So even as large developers Adani Green Energy and Tata Power gained, JSW Energy shed some points. Among the pack of solar EPC's, even as Sterling and Wilson Renewable, Waaree Renewable Technology dropped some value, Shakti Pumps and KPI Green Energy gained. Borosil Renewables, the solar glass maker, dropped a few points after the sharp run-up it has enjoyed since the budget slapped an import duty on its key product.
The Wind energy stocks which have been blowing up so well this week, finally took a break, with both Suzlon and Inox Wind dropping a few percentages. It is interesting to see also that as the larger cap green stocks have fallen, so have the much smaller listed solar stocks like Alpex Solar and GP Eco solutions, even though their current price and valuations remain a huge premium to their IPO prices.
