GoodWe Marks 10 Years in India, Crosses 6 GW Inverter Shipments Milestone Photograph: (GoodWe)
Solar inverter manufacturer GoodWe recently marked 10 years of operations in India, celebrating a decade of growth in one of the world’s fastest-growing solar markets while announcing that its cumulative inverter shipments in the country have crossed 6 GW.
The milestone was commemorated at an event held at The Lalit Ashok Bengaluru, where the company hosted customers, EPC partners, and industry stakeholders to reflect on its journey in India’s renewable energy sector.
The event was attended by N. Amarnath, General Manager at the Karnataka Solar Power Development Corporation Limited, who delivered the keynote address. He highlighted the strong policy push and technological advancements expected to drive the next phase of solar growth in India.
In a video message, James Hou, Vice President of Sales for the Asia Pacific region at GoodWe, described India as one of the company’s most important global markets.
“Over the years, our focus has been to help customers reduce risk, improve project returns and build systems that perform reliably over the long term. We have continued to invest in R&D, strengthen our channel ecosystem and expand technical and service support while working closely with EPCs and developers,” Hou said.
Expanding Presence Across Solar Segments
Since entering the Indian market in 2016, GoodWe has expanded its presence across the residential, commercial and industrial (C&I), and utility-scale segments, developing a diversified project portfolio.
The company works with several prominent solar developers and EPC players including Tata Power, Amplus Solar, Enerparc, ORB Energy, Kosol Energie, and Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited, among others.
The company said its solutions have been deployed across more than 150,000 residential installations, including projects under government initiatives such as the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
Diverse Geography
GoodWe’s projects today span diverse geographies across India—from northern regions with colder climates to western desert areas and humid coastal belts.
To support this growing deployment base, the company has established a service network with 20 service engineers across the country, supported by a Solar Service Centre in Bengaluru and service warehouses in Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Gurugram.
Focus on Smart Energy Solutions
During the event, GoodWe also showcased its latest smart energy solutions aimed at addressing evolving energy requirements in the Indian market.
Under its CoreLock concept, the company presented residential energy storage systems designed to enhance safety, provide rapid backup switching and support long-term reliability.
These include the ES Uniq hybrid inverter series (3–12 kW) paired with Lynx A G3 batteries, offering compact hybrid performance with backup switching times of less than 4 milliseconds and scalable storage capacity of up to 150 kWh.
For larger energy demands, the company highlighted its three-phase ET LV Series (5–20 kW) integrated with BAT 14 batteries, capable of supporting storage capacities of up to 430 kWh.
The company said such solutions are aimed at supporting India’s evolving distributed energy and storage needs as the country continues to accelerate its solar energy deployment.
