Gaurav Agnihotri has joined Waaree Clean Energy Solutions, a subsidiary of the Waaree Group, to head its business development, sales, and strategy functions.

He is a management professional with nearly 20 years of experience in India’s energy sector. Agnihotri began his career with Essar Oil, where he contributed to the expansion of the company’s refinery in Vadinar, Gujarat.  He later held a role at Alfa Laval, where he developed the company’s sustainable Caustic Evaporation and Zero Liquid Discharge business in India. Before that, he led the sales and business development team at Tower Field Service, Sulzer India Private Limited.

Agnihotri has experience in building and scaling sustainable businesses and has worked closely with companies including HPCL, IOCL, BPCL, ONGC, Reliance Industries, Tata Steel, Essar Oil, Adani Group, Siemens, BHEL, NTPC, and Thermax.

Additionally, Waaree Group, the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) arm of Waaree Renewables, reported a sharp year-on-year (YoY) increase in both profit and revenue for the first quarter of FY2025-26. However, on a sequential basis, the company saw a modest decline in performance compared to the previous quarter.

The company posted a total revenue of ₹60,318.58 lakh for Q1, marking a 155% increase compared to ₹23,695.49 lakh in the same period last year. On a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis, revenue rose 26.5% from ₹47,657.99 lakh in Q4FY25. Net profitfor the quarter stood at ₹8,638.94 lakh, marking a 206% increase compared to the same period last year. However, profitsdipped7% sequentially, indicating some margin pressure despite robust topline growth.
