GameChange BOS Opens High Volume Transformer Manufacturing Facility in Maharashtra

GameChange BOS, a division of GameChange Energy Technologies which also owns Gamechange Solar, has inaugurated a new high-capacity transformer manufacturing facility in Taloja, Maharashtra. Spread over 180,000 square feet, the state-of-the-art plant is designed to produce more than 1,800 transformers annually, strengthening the company’s ability to serve growing demand in India, Europe, and the United States.

The new factory is expected to allow GameChange BOS to scale its product portfolio across the 0.5-25 MVA range, with voltage ratings up to 69 kV. These products are targeted at high-growth sectors, such as AI-driven data centres, renewable energy projects, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and large-scale electrification infrastructure.

According to the company, the facility is equipped with advanced technology for manufacturing, streamlined production processes, and rigorous quality testing, ensuring compliance with international standards.

Andrew Worden, CEO of GameChange BOS, highlighted the strategic importance of the expansion. “We are revolutionising the customer experience in the transformer sector with rapid delivery, service excellence, and value-based pricing. Our new factory enables us to meet urgent market needs and positions us as a significant player in the global electrification movement,” he said.

Boost to Domestic Manufacturing

The facility also advances India’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives by reducing reliance on imports and enhancing the country’s capacity to export advanced electrical equipment, the official statement noted. 

With India’s electricity demand projected to almost triple by 2035 - driven by industrial growth, urbanisation, electric mobility, and data centre expansion - the company is expecting to contribute toward supporting national energy infrastructure goals.
