GAIL Tenders for 3.2 MW Rooftop Solar Projects

GAIL has issued a tender for setting up of solar rooftop projects with a total capacity of 3.2 MW, across various premises of the firm in India.

The Gas Authority of India (GAIL) has issued a tender, inviting bids from eligible parties for the setting up of solar rooftop projects with a total capacity of 3.2 MW to be developed across various premises of the firm across India.

The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of solar rooftop projects at the respective sites. The developers will also be responsible for providing comprehensive operation and maintenance services for the installed solar systems for a period of five years from the date of successful commissioning. The total time period given for the completion of the projects across all sites is six months.

As per the tender, the area-wise break up is 1751.65 kW in Madhya Pradesh, 646.42 kW in Gujarat, 328.7 kW in Andhra Pradesh, 36.72 kW in the North East, 47.45 kW in Tamil Nadu, 171.6 kW in Telangana, 130 kW in Uttar Pradesh, 67.6 kW in Rajasthan, and 18.2 kW in Delhi.

The last date for bid submission is November 29, 2019. A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for November 14, 2019, to address the concerns raised by the prospective bidders. All bidders must also submit Earnest Money Deposits worth Rs 22.8 lakh along with their bids.

To be eligible for participating in the bidding process, the bidders should have experience of having successfully completed the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of solar projects of a minimum total capacity of 0.8 MW in a single work order in any government, PSU, private sector companies in the last seven years from the bid due date.

And, the minimum annual turnover of the bidder should be Rs 5.6 crore in any one of the three preceding financial years, with the net worth of the bidder should be positive as per the last audited financial statement.
