The plants are expected to generate around 215 GW a year which will help in reduction of 175,000 tons of Co2 emission. The project has a 25-year power-purchase agreement.

In the state of Karnataka five solar photovoltaic plants are coming up and the Solarpack via its subsidiary Ekialde Solar Pvt Ltd has been selected to develop them by 2019.

The five new solar parks in India, located in the towns of Afzalpur, Chincholi, Holenarsipura, Nanjangund and Yelandur, will enter operation in September 2019. The plants are expected to generate around 215 GW a year which will help in reduction of 175,000 tons of Co2 emission. The project has a 25-year power-purchase agreement.

As of now Solarpack has six solar photovoltaic plants in India that generate a total of 104 MW.

Pablo Burgos, Solarpack’s CEO, commented: “This second contract consolidates our position in India, a market which we see as key in the coming years. Solarpack has made an important commitment to internationalization and this process has seen us becoming a key player in the sector.”

Solarpack is a multinational company that specializes in electrical generating projects, particularly in the field of solar photovoltaic energy. It works in the development, financing, construction, operation and management of photovoltaic solar power plants.

The company is present in Spain, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Colombia, USA, Malaysia and India. It has commissioned over 200 MW in several countries. Solarpack also manages customer facilities that add an additional 330MW. It has commissioned 37 MWp across seven locations in Spain, 67 MWp in seven solar plants in Chile, 62 MWp in another three plants in Peru and 26 MWp in a solar park in Uruguay.
