EESL has tendered under financial assistance from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the procurement of 500 electric vehicles (EVs).

The Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has issued a tender, inviting bids from eligible vendors for the procurement of 500 electric vehicles (EVs). As per the tender, the vehicles will come with three years of warranty and a comprehensive annual maintenance contract (AMC). The contract will also include design, manufacture, on-site supply and maintenance support for electric cars on a pan-India basis.

The last date for bid submission is February 5, 2021, and the technical bids will be opened on the same date. The date and time of opening of the price bids will be informed to the technically responsive bidders later. A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for January 12, 2021, to address the concerns raised by prospective bidders.

The bidder will have to submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 47 lakh if bidding in the first lot, and Rs 85 lakh if bidding in the second. If a bidder does apply for both lots (nonbeing eligible), then they will have to furnish bid security of Rs 1.32 crore.
