Mumbai based automotive startup, Earth Energy EV has launched its three all-new electric two-wheelers (E2Ws) Glyde+ scooter, and two motorcycles; Evolve R & Evolve Z, for Rs 92,000, Rs 1.30 lakh, and Rs 1.42 lakh, respectively. The company announced them as the on-road prices of the E2Ws that are absolutely indigenous.

However, the Glyde+ e-scooter will be available in showrooms from the end of this month, while the Evolve Z and R e-bikes will be available by March-end. Currently, there are seven dealerships in Mumbai whereas 45 showrooms would be planned by the end of this year.

Speaking of their accomplishment, CEO & Founder, Earth Energy EV, Rushi S. stated, “We are thrilled to announce the launch of our first range of electric two-Wheelers. The EV industry in India is emerging on account of various factors such as the growing awareness toward the environment, increasing petrol prices, and stringent emission norms, etc. We feel that the consumption of electric vehicles will go up now than ever.”

The company is not launching EVs only, but it will provide a default in-built app for smartphones that it claims will help the rider to use live navigation status, incoming calls/messages alert, trip history, and current destination on-screen. All three E2Ws are provided with an automatic headlight-enabled feature for switching between night and day time modes, The LCD helps riders to see battery SOC, real-time range and TBT (turnabout time) navigation, etc.

Interestingly, the e-scooter Glyde+ comes with a 2.4 kW electric motor that gives a top speed of 60 Kmph. As the company claims, the e-scooter has a range of 100 km on a single charge which uses a 52 Ah lithium-ion battery. The battery is expected to be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 40 minutes.

However, e-motorcycles are expected to be seen on roads by the end of next month, while Evolve Z comes with a 96 Ah lithium-ion battery with a range of 100 Kms. The E-bike has a 5.2 kW electric motor which gives a top speed of 95 Kmph.

Additionally, Evolve R is the flagship offering from the brand, fitted with a 115 Ah lithium-ion battery that runs through a 12.5 kW electric motor with a 110 Kmph top speed.

Moreover, the company claims to have a 7,000 square feet R&D center in Vasai, outside of Mumbai. That holds a capacity to build about 12,000 two-wheelers per year along with the production of in-house lithium-ion batteries.
