DhaSh PV Unveils Advanced Interconnect Ribbon, Busbar For Solar Modules Photograph: (DhaSh PV)
DhaSh PV Technologies Ltd, India’s largest integrated maker of PV junction boxes and connectors, has announced the launch of DhaSh LYNC™, an interconnect ribbon and busbar solution designed for the next generation of high-efficiency solar modules.
The product will be manufactured at the company’s new facility in Sira, Tumkur (Karnataka), which has a current capacity of 6.5 GW. DhaSh plans to scale it up to 25 GW by 2026, aligning with India’s growing solar ambitions.
The launch expands DhaSh’s product portfolio beyond junction boxes and connectors into upstream solar components, a segment gaining traction with rising module power densities.
Performance Edge
As solar modules move towards higher wattages, manufacturers are seeking interconnect solutions that can withstand greater current densities while reducing resistive losses. Industry estimates suggest even a 0.1% efficiency gain in modules can yield meaningful levelised cost of energy (LCOE) savings in large-scale projects.
DhaSh said LYNC is designed to address these requirements through:
High conductivity for lower energy losses.
Precision coating to improve solderability and durability.
Compatibility with high-speed automated production lines.
Market Context
Global solar deployment is expected to accelerate sharply, with BloombergNEF projecting nearly 880 GW of new annual installations by 2030. The International Energy Agency’s Net Zero scenario pegs the figure at around 940 GW — over four times current levels.
Positioning itself for this growth, DhaSh said its new solution will help module makers and developers improve efficiency and reliability while supporting India’s target of becoming a global solar manufacturing hub.
“Our aim is to contribute meaningfully to India’s vision of becoming the global solar capital. DhaSh LYNC is not just a product but a step forward in enabling reliable, efficient, and future-ready solutions,” said Manjunath N Reddy, founder and MD, DhaSh PV Technologies.
