Delta Electronics India to Deploy 110 MW PCS for Prostarm’s BESS Portfolio Across India

This collaboration is part of Prostarm’s earlier agreement, undertaken with Delta Electronics India, in December 2025, to supply 110 MW of bi-directional PCS to support multiple utility-scale BESS projects, including BSPGCL, AEML, and other developers

Delta Electronics India, a power management and smart green solutions provider, has agreed to supply 100 units of its ‘Make-in-India’ 1.1 MW bi-directional Power Conditioning Systems (PCS). According to a press release, Delta Electronics India has secured a total of 110 MW worth of Prostarm Info Systems Ltd’s Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across India, including projects undertaken by the Bihar State Power Generation Company Ltd. (BSPGCL) and Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited (AEML).

The latest collaboration is part of Prostarm’s earlier agreement, under which Delta Electronics India undertook, in December 2025, to supply 110 MW of bi-directional Power Conditioning Systems (PCS) to support multiple utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across India, including those of BSPGCL, AEML, and other developers.

About the Project

Delta’s Power Conditioning Systems are manufactured at its facility in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, and are designed for utility-grade energy storage and microgrid applications. These systems support key functions such as peak shaving, PV smoothing, and grid ancillary services. The PCS offers up to 98.5% energy conversion efficiency, output power capacity of up to 1,160 kVA, and scalability of up to five units operating in parallel.

The bi-directional PCS units, totalling 110 MW, will be deployed by Prostarm across multiple projects, including those of Bihar State Power Generation Company Ltd. (BSPGCL) and Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited’s (AEML) 11 MW/22 MWh BESS project in Mumbai. These also include standalone BESS projects being developed by Prostarm under the BESSPD (Battery Energy Storage Solution Power Developer) mode in the state of Bihar.

Under these projects, one of the Bihar State Power Generation Company Ltd. (BSPGCL) projects is part of the 125 MW/500 MWh BESS tender, which was awarded to six bidders. The successful bidders were Barbrik Projects, Saatvik Green Energy, Kundan Green Energy, Prostarm Info Systems, Hindustan Thermal Project (Hindustan Power), and Suryam International. The project was awarded at a tariff of ₹4.44 lakh per MW per month.

Within this project, Barbrik Projects received the largest allocation of 37.5 MW/150 MWh, followed by Hindustan Thermal Project and Prostarm Info Systems, which were awarded 30 MW/120 MWh each. Suryam International and Kundan Green Energy received 10 MW/40 MWh each, while Saatvik Green Energy was awarded 7.5 MW/30 MWh.
