Solar module manufacturer Cosmic PV Power has secured an order worth about Rs 600 crore from Zetwerk Manufacturing Businesses to supply nearly 6.9 lakh modules, marking its entry into the utility-scale Independent Power Producer (IPP) market.
The company will deliver 688,947 modules of 550 Wp rating under the contract, adding that dispatches have already begun.
Cosmic PV Power, which has so far focused on mid-sized EPC contractors and select OEMs, said the deal signals a strategic shift towards larger utility customers. The company expects more orders from major IPPs in the coming months.
Serving IPP Segment
“This order reflects our capability to serve the utility and IPP segment and strengthens our position for accelerated growth,” said Shravan Gupta, managing director of Cosmic PV Power.
Chairman Jenish Ghael said the company is working to ensure timely execution of deliveries.
The transaction value will be adjusted to reflect the revised 5% GST on renewable energy equipment, down from 12%, which took effect on Sept. 22, 2025.
Cosmic PV Power has scaled from a 200 MW module producer to a 3 GW integrated module facility over the past two years. About 1.3 GW of its capacity is approved under the government’s ALMM programme, with the remainder under review.
Foraying Into Solar Cells
The company recently received 60 acres of industrial land in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh, to set up a planned 4 GW solar cell plant. It has also signed an MoU with Indygreen Technologies to build a 2 GW lithium-ion battery manufacturing line for energy storage, scheduled for completion by March 2026.
Cosmic PV Power said it aims to become a vertically integrated clean-energy manufacturer as India expands domestic capacity to support its net-zero goals.
