Gujarat-based Cosmic PV Power has started producing high-efficiency solar modules at full capacity at its new Surat plant. The factory can produce up to 450Wp high efficient Modules by using single & multi-crystalline cells. The company is especially focusing more on making efficient Mono PERC Products.

In recent time, the demand for solar photovoltaic modules has been increased exponentially, one the reasons being supportive government policies and increasing awareness among the public at large. Growing markets and emerging technologies have compelled many to start solar manufacturing, says Shravan Gupta, Founder and Director of Cosmic PV Power Private Limited.

The facility is at Ahmedabad- Mumbai Highway NH8 within boundaries of Surat City. It is currently running with an annual production capacity of 125MW, which is soon expected to be 270 MW per annum.

Jenish Ghael Managing Director of Cosmic PV Power, said, “We are manufacturing 330-335Wp poly crystalline modules, 400 Wp mono perc modules and up to 450Wp modules with 144 half cut cell in 5BB technology. And very soon we are going to manufacture up to 540Wp solar modules in 9BB & 10BB technology.

“As existing technologies are evolving and many new technologies are emerging to meet market demands, our R&D Team are focusing on innovations, to introduce the highest efficiency solar modules in market, which generates a higher return on investments for our customers. With the commencement of production, we have further strengthened our product portfolio from EPC to Manufacturer and now able to caters to a wide range of customers.”

Due to the ongoing pandemic, formal inauguration of the plant was not possible; so the company’s management has decided to postpone it till situation eases, added by Mr. Shravan Gupta.

“The ISO 9001: 2015 certified manufacturing facility uses state-of-the-art production systems such as TQM (total quality management) and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance),” said Cosmic PV Power Quality team. “This launch will, therefore, increase the availability of highest-quality, made-in-India solar modules and contribute to the government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives.”
