CEL Issues Tender for 147 MW Decentralized Solar Power Gen Systems

Central Electronics Limited (CEL) has invited online bids (technical and price) from empanelled applicant firms (qualified bidders)  for the construction of decentralised solar power generating system (SPGS) ranging from 2 MW to 10 MW (AC) for a cumulative capacity of 147 MW (in 11 lots) at various sub-stations/locations in Maharashtra.

The full scope of the work includes design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, commissioning and O&M of SPGS, states CEL. The last date and time for the submission of bids is October 18, 2021, 2 pm. The bids will open on the same day and at the same time (that is, October 18, 2021, 2 pm).

Bidders are required to submit their bids online for any number of lots separately out of 11 (eleven) lots (Lot-A to Lot-K) against this tender. As the tender document will remain the same for all the lots, except the price bids, bids submitted against the lot(s) will be considered against one tender only.

However, for the easy reference of bidders, tender document will be uploaded by CEL with each price bid to enable the bidders submit their bids. No earnest money deposit is required to be paid by the applicants.

CEL has noted, “This is a limited tender for empaneled applicant firms of our open EOI No. C-2(b)/EOI/704/378/2021 dated 27.08.2021. Other bidders who wish to quote in similar tenders in future may apply for their empanelment against our EOI No. C-2(b)/EOI/704/286/19 available on our website in the tender/EOI section.”

Further, bids for all the eleven lots are to be submitted online only at www.etenders.gov.in. No offline document will be accepted by CEL.

In August this year, CEL invited Expression of Interest (EoI) from EPC contractors wishing to be empanelled for building ground mounted SPGS for a cumulative capacity of 200 MW anywhere in the country.

CEL is a Union Government-owned engineering company, under the Ministry of Science and Technology, based in India with its manufacturing unit located at Sahibabad, district Ghaziabad in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
