Tata Power has an added advantage in the state as the electricity distribution is managed by the subsidiaries of Tata Power in the state, including Bhubaneswar. Under its ‘Ghar Ghar Solar’ campaign, TRPEL has now planned to offer rooftop solar for 3 kW at a minimum monthly EMI of Rs 3,299. This new initiative aims to make rooftop solar accessible to a wider section of Odisha’s population through an easy and consumer-friendly financing model. The firm calls it the country’s most affordable residential solar solution in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, under its ‘Ghar Ghar Solar’ campaign. This will cover nearly 40 percent of installation costs. Two Premium Lifestyle Offerings To meet evolving consumer demands, TPREL has also introduced two premium lifestyle offerings – MySine and Solar Design Spaces. MySine is a compact solar plus battery backup system designed for seamless, uninterrupted power supply. On the other hand, Solar Design Spaces are a curated set of 25 aesthetically designed rooftop installations combining function with modern visual appeal. As per TPREL, the campaign has already shown strong traction in the state. Rooftop solar adoption has quadrupled, with the consumer base rising from 430 to 1,759. In FY25 alone, TPREL onboarded 1,033 residential customers – nearly ten times the number added in FY24. The Commercial & Industrial (C&I) segment also saw growth, with 76 new customers in FY25 compared to 56 in the previous fiscal, the firm reports.
