BHEL Tenders for O&M of SCCL’s 10 MW Solar Plant in Telangana PC: SunAlpha Solar

BHEL has invited bids from eligible bidders for undertaking the work of O&M of SCCL 10 MW solar power plant at STPP-Pegadapalli in Telangana.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has issued tender, inviting bids from eligible firms/ bidders for undertaking the work of operation and maintenance (O&M) of SCCL 10 MW solar power plant at the Singareni Thermal Power Plant (STPP), Pegadapalli in Telangana.

The scope of work for the selected bidders will include all the O&M services for all equipment and systems installed at the solar projects as detailed in the tender, including the transmission line and substation bays.

The last date for bid submission is October 12, 2020, and the technical bids will be opened on the same date. The selected firm will be contracted for a period of 123 months from the date of handing over of the site, which is expected to be by the end of October 2020.

All bidders will be required to submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 8.34 lakh along with their bids. And, a security deposit (SD) worth 5 percent of the work order amount, also needs to be submitted. 50 percent of the SD shall be submitted before start of work, and the balance will be recovered from running bills at a rate of 10 percent per bill. Half of the SD will be released after completion of all the works and remaining 50 percent after 6 months from the date of completion of all the works.

The estimated cost of the tender is Rs 4.17 crore.

To be eligible, the bidders must have experience of having successfully completed similar works during last 7 years:

a. Three similar completed works costing not less than the amount equal to 40% of the estimated cost.

b. Two similar completed works costing not less than the amount equal to 50% of the estimated cost.

c. One similar completed work costing not less than the amount equal to 80% of the estimated cost.

Financially, the average annual financial turnover during the last 3 years ending March 31, of the previous financial year, not less than be 30 percent of the NIT value.

In July, BHEL had issued three tenders, seeking bids from eligible companies for undertaking the O&M work for three solar projects worth a combined 79 MW for Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) in Telangana.

In the first tender, BHEL has invited bids for the O&M of SCCL’s 30 MW (AC) solar power project at Manuguru. In the second, the agency has invited bids for O&M works of SCCL’s 10 MW (AC) solar power project at Pegadapalli and finally in the third tender, BHEL has invited bids for the O&M works of SCCL’s 39 MW (AC) solar power project at Yellandu.

BHEL has now issued the O&M tender for the 10 MW solar project at SCCL again.
