SECI has recently awarded the Balance of System (BoS) package tender for a 200 MW solar project in Madhya Pradesh at Rs. 439 Cr to Amar Infrastructure. The tender for this project was issued in May and was awarded after five months in October this year.
The project bidders for this project are expected to design, engineer, Supply (except PV modules), unload PV Modules at the Site Supplied by the Owner, construct, erect, test, and commission a 200 MW (AC) ground-mounted Solar PV Power Plant at Dhar.
The BoS-only tendering approach allows SECI to decouple module procurement from project construction timelines, providing flexibility to source high-efficiency modules under DCR and non-DCR categories as per project requirements.
Scope of Work
Under the scope of work of the tender, Amar Infrastructure would undertake the operation & maintenance of the ground-mounted solar plants for five years. It would have to obtain all associated statutory and regulatory compliances and approvals for the construction and commissioning of the plant.
Previous Tenders
Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has previously awarded 300 MWac /390 Mwp Ground-Mounted Balance of System (BoS) solar project to Amara Raja Infra Pvt Ltd (ARIPL). The project encompasses the complete Balance of System (BoS) for 300 MW/390 Mwp Solar PV plant, including the construction of a 220 kV pooling substation and subsequent 220 kV power transmission infrastructure to the existing 220 kV/400 kV PGCIL (EHV) Sub-Station at Pavagada.
The Dhar project in Andhra Pradesh forms part of SECI’s ongoing effort to diversify project locations beyond Rajasthan and Gujarat, leveraging southern India’s transmission-ready infrastructure
