Andhra Pradesh: Envision Energy India Secures 502 MW Wind Order from Evren
Chinese renewable energy solutions provider Envision Energy has recently signed an agreement with Evren, backed by Brookfield Global Transition Fund (BGTF), to supply approximately 152 WTG of the EN 156/3.3 MW Turbine Platform.
In a press release, Envision Energy said, "Evren will deploy these 3.3 MW Smart Wind Turbines in Andhra Pradesh. Currently, it is expanding its renewable energy projects in India and aims to develop over 10 GW of renewable energy assets across solar, wind, and battery storage in key states such as Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh."
Spreading its presence across India, Envision earlier this year performed the ground-breaking ceremony for its 2 GW Blade Manufacturing Facility in Kalyangadh, Bavla Taluka, Ahmedabad District, Gujarat. The new facility marks Envision’s third manufacturing site in India and is a part of the company’s INR 500 crore expansion plan to deepen its presence and strengthen manufacturing capabilities in the country.
About the Project
Sharing the project details, Envision said its Smart Wind Turbines have a 156-metre rotor diameter and a 140-metre hub height—an ideal configuration for wind site conditions in India.
It further explained that this 3.3 MW turbine platform has proven performance in booming markets of the MENA region, Southeast Asia, and China, in addition to 2.5 GW now operational in India. The EN 156/3.3 MW Smart Wind Turbine offers an enhanced Annual Energy Output (AEP), delivering the lowest Levelized Cost of Energy (LCoE).
RPV Prasad, MD, Envision Energy India said, “It is a proud moment for us to partner with Evren on this 501.6 MW order for our Smart Wind Turbines. This is our first step to support Evren as they deploy industrial decarbonization solutions at scale, strengthening our resolve to be a Trusted Energy Solutions Partner to our customers.”
Suman Kumar, CEO, Evren commented, "Our partnership with Envision Energy India represents not just a significant step in achievement of our goal in developing over 10 GW of large-scale renewable projects but underscoring our confidence in their demonstrated record."
