Amplus Solar announced the commissioning of its pioneering 360 MWp Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) solar plant, Project Jai, situated in Jaimalsar village in Bikaner, Rajasthan.

The solar power generated by the plant will be shared with Commercial and Industrial (C&I) clients nationwide, enabling them to fulfil their green energy objectives.

The state-of-the-art solar facility, equipped with the latest available solar technology, including bi-facial modules, single-axis trackers, and 100% robotic cleaning systems, is notable for its focus on innovation and sustainability. Notably, the implementation of robotic cleaning system at Project Jai is projected to reduce the consumption of water for panel cleaning at the plant by up to 50 million liters per year.

While known for pioneering rooftop solar solutions in India, the inauguration of this large-scale renewable energy project represents a significant diversification for Amplus Solar, further cementing its position as a key player in India’s renewable energy landscape.

For Amplus Solar which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, the commissioning of the Project Jai in Bikaner heralds a new era of diversification and growth for the company.

Amplus has diversified into new avenues such as battery storage, residential solar, distributed green hydrogen and electric vehicle-based logistics solutions. Amplus owns and manages a portfolio of over 1.5+ GW of distributed solar assets and serves 350+ renowned Indian and multinational firms like Yamaha, Cisco, Amazon, Walmart, Reckitt Benckiser, Schlumberger, Carlsberg, ABB, TVS, Schneider, Qualcomm, Halliburton, GE, Honda among others, quadrupling its customer base from 2017 to 2023.

Amplus operational plants are expected to generate 22 billion units of electricity over their lifetime.
