Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Ltd reported a 6% year-on-year rise in quarterly revenue, helped by strong demand from automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), even as exports declined due to geopolitical tensions.

The Hyderabad-based company posted standalone revenue from operations of 3,350.84 crore rupees for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2025, compared with 3,164.02 crore rupees a year earlier.

Profit before exceptional items and tax stood at 251.28 crore rupees for the quarter, down from 311.09 crore rupees a year earlier. Profit before tax fell to 207.48 crore rupees from 422.16 crore rupees in the year-ago period.

Rising Domestic OEM Volumes

Growth in the automotive battery segment was driven by rising domestic OEM volumes, particularly in the four-wheeler segment, the company said. The industrial battery business delivered steady performance in the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) segment, while telecom customers increasingly shifted toward lithium-ion battery solutions.

Exports declined during the period, primarily due to geopolitical tensions affecting global trade flows.

Executive Director Harshavardhana Gourineni said the battery business delivered strong performance led by sustained demand in the OEM segment, adding that a diversified portfolio helped offset challenges in export markets.

Domestic Cells Soon 

Executive Director Vikramadithya Gourineni said the company’s customer qualification plant and R&D production facility were progressing as planned and would soon be inaugurated. He added that the company aims to begin supplying India-designed and manufactured cells to customers for testing early next financial year, with gigafactory commercial production on track for early next calendar year.

Chairman and Managing Director Jayadev Galla said the company continued to strengthen its capabilities across the energy and mobility value chain as the two sectors converge.
