Firm-Wise Capacity Additions

The biggest increase came from Avaada Electro, which added 4,111 MW of new manufacturing capacity. Future Solar followed with 2,896 MW, while Emmvee Photovoltaic added 2,229 MW. Surat-based Cosmic PV Power, which previously had 185 MW of enlisted capacity in the August list, expanded by another 1,302 MW, continuing its steady rise as a startup going places.

Avaada Electro, the module manufacturing arm of the Avaada Group, added four new models of bifacial n-type TOPCon module (glass to glass). Kosol Energie and Future Solar also added new models in the same category. On the other hand, besides the same catroy, it also added its 525 Wp mono-PERC module model.

ALMM Mandate

The ALMM is a list maintained by MNRE that specifies which models and manufacturers of solar photovoltaic modules are approved for use in government projects, schemes, and programs. The objective of the ALMM is to ensure reliability, quality, and performance standards in India’s solar supply chain, while also encouraging domestic manufacturing.

These additions underscore the ongoing expansion of India’s solar manufacturing ecosystem as more players scale up to meet rising domestic and global demand.
