Aerem, OMC Eyes ₹200Cr Rooftop Solar Financing For UP MSMEs Aerem Solutions and OMC Power have announced a partnership to provide ₹200 crore in financing for rooftop solar projects aimed at Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Uttar Pradesh. Under the agreement, Aerem, through its non-banking financial company (NBFC), will extend credit facilities to OMC Power’s customers. The initiative is intended to boost solar adoption among MSMEs by improving access to affordable financing options. About the Project The project combines Aerem’s climate-focused lending capabilities with OMC Power’s operational reach in rural and underserved areas. The two firms aim to accelerate the deployment of distributed solar systems by addressing financing barriers faced by small businesses. “MSMEs are central to India’s Net Zero goals. This ₹200 crore partnership is a key step toward integrating sustainability into our financing strategy,” said Vikesh Agrawal, co-founder and chief operating officer at Aerem. OMC Power managing director and CEO Rohit Chandra said the collaboration would help MSMEs adopt clean energy, reduce costs and improve business competitiveness. “This initiative is expected to expand the footprint of distributed solar solutions at the grassroots level,” he said.
