ADM Solar to Supply 150 MW of DCR Panels for PM-KUSUM Projects Photograph: (Archive)
ADM Solar has announced a 150 MW supply of Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) solar panels for projects under the PM-KUSUM B Component Scheme. The initiative will power agricultural and institutional solar projects across Maharashtra, Haryana, and Rajasthan.
The deployment aims to strengthen energy access in key agricultural regions. In Maharashtra, districts like Beed and Parbhani—major irrigation hubs for cotton, pulses, and sugarcane—will benefit from cost-effective solar power. In Haryana, solar installations in Hisar and Hansi, prominent wheat and mustard-growing areas, are expected to reduce operational costs for irrigation. Rajasthan’s Jaipur region will see decentralized solar solutions for both agricultural and institutional use, promoting broader adoption of clean energy, tjhe company said.
“These regions are among the most active zones under the KUSUM scheme, where decentralized solar is helping farmers reduce reliance on grid power and diesel, while lowering irrigation costs,” an ADM Solar spokesperson said.
High-Efficiency DCR Panels
ADM Solar will supply advanced Mono PERC solar panels ranging from 500W to 540W, ensuring compliance with the scheme’s domestic content mandate. The panels are designed for high energy yield, durability, and long-term performance—key requirements for rural and agricultural deployment.
Supporting the PM-KUSUM Mission
Launched by the Government of India, the PM-KUSUM scheme promotes decentralized renewable energy for farmers and rural communities. Component B focuses on grid-connected solar projects, ensuring sustainable and affordable power supply. ADM Solar’s contribution aligns with the Make in India initiative, bolstering the domestic manufacturing ecosystem.
Driving Rural Development and Sustainability, the 150 MW DCR panel deployment is expected to:
Provide farmers with reliable and clean energy
Reduce irrigation costs
Support India’s domestic solar manufacturing sector
Accelerate renewable energy adoption in semi-urban and rural regions.
