Adani Green added 2140MW of renewable energy from its hybrid projects Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) has surpassed 15 GW of operational renewable energy capacity, reaching 15,539.9 MW. The company said in a stock exchange filing that the capacity was achieved through its various step-down subsidiaries, as detailed in Annexure A. AGEL added that it had operationalised 1,011.5 MW of projects at Khavda, Gujarat, from the plants listed below, taking its total operational renewable capacity to over 15 GW. The company said it received the necessary clearances to commission the plants on June 30, with power generation set to begin on July 1, 2025. AGEL crossed the 15 GW mark at Khavda with the commissioning of multiple renewable energy projects by its subsidiaries. As mentioned in the box below, the company commissioned solar projects of 125 MW, 362.5 MW, and 175 MW through Adani Renewable Energy Forty-Five Ltd, Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Six Ltd, and Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Seven Ltd, respectively. It also added a 52 MW wind project through Adani Hybrid Energy Jaisalmer Five Ltd, and a 245 MW hybrid project via the same subsidiary. Adani Green Operationalize 1011.5 MW Capacity This accomplishment marks one of the fastest and largest capacity additions. With the latest project, the company achieved an operational portfolio that includes ~11,005.5 MW of solar, ~1,977.8 MW of wind, and ~2,556.6 MW of wind-solar hybrid capacity. AGEL is one of the few renewable energy companies in India to attain this achievement, primarily through greenfield projects. The company explained that it had installed ~55 million solar modules and 1,177 Wind turbines and created 3,700 green jobs through its latest project.
