Acme Solar Operationalize 68 MW Out Of 100MW Wind Project in Gujarat

ACME Solar commissioned an additional 12 MW by officials from GEDA and PGVCL, and the same has been recorded in the commissioning minutes of the meeting (MoM), with the formal certificate expected to be issued shortly.

Gurugram-based ACME Solar Holdings Limited (ACME Solar), through its subsidiary ACME Eco Clean Energy Pvt Ltd, has commissioned an additional 12 MW of its wind power project in Surendranagar, Gujarat. This takes the project’s total operational capacity to 68 MW, out of the total 100 MW being commissioned in phases.

ACME Solar said in a press release that the additional 12 MW was commissioned by officials from GEDA and PGVCL, and the same has been recorded in the commissioning minutes of the meeting (MoM), with the formal certificate expected to be issued shortly.

The ACME Eco Clean Energy wind power project has been financed by Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and constructed using the company’s in-house EPC capabilities, deploying SANY’s 4 MW turbines. The power generated from the project will be sold under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) signed between ACME Eco Clean and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).

ACME Wind Project

ACME Solar last year secured an extension to its Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD) from the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC) following the recognition of force majeure events under the PPA. The revised SCOD is March 5, 2026, and the project was early commissioned with 44 MW of capacity in the first two phases.

Subsequently, ACME Solar commissioned an additional 16 MW of its 100 MW wind power project in Surendranagar, Gujarat. This followed the first-phase commissioning of 28 MW in October 2025.

The wind power project has been financed by Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and constructed through in-house EPC capabilities, deploying SANY’s 4 MW turbines. The power generated from the project will be sold under the 25-year PPA signed between ACME Eco Clean and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).
