ACME Solar Holdings Limited has commissioned the second phase of its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Rajasthan, strengthening its role in India’s expanding energy storage sector. The project has been implemented through the company’s wholly owned subsidiary, ACME Suryodaya Private Limited.
With the latest commissioning, the project adds 38 MW / 82 MWh of storage capacity to the company’s broader BESS portfolio of 285 MW / 600 MWh. The facility is located at Sanwara and Mehar Nagar villages in Pokhran, Jaisalmer district, a region emerging as a key hub for renewable energy development.
The Commercial Operation Date (COD) for the second phase has been declared as March 5, 2026, marking another milestone in the company’s efforts to expand grid-scale energy storage infrastructure in India.
Rajesh Sodhi, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer at ACME Solar Holdings, said, “The successful commissioning of Phase II reinforces our commitment to delivering reliable and sustainable energy solutions across India. This BESS facility will play a key role in optimising renewable energy integration in Rajasthan.”
