The new entity will manufacture fixed tilt steel mounting structures, a critical component of ground-mounted solar plants. By internalising production, AB Energia aims to strengthen quality control, reduce costs and improve supply timelines. Mounting structures typically account for 7–8% of overall EPC costs, or about ₹18–20 lakh per MW.

Confirmed Order Book

The company said AVIISII has already built a confirmed order book of over ₹50 crore within its first six months of operations. It is targeting a manufacturing capacity of more than 5,000 tonnes of structures in the initial phase. The subsidiary will also supply structures to third-party contractors, creating an additional revenue stream.

“In a solar power plant, mounting structures are the foundation that determines longevity and performance. With AVIISII, we are bringing this critical component under our direct control to ensure high quality and structural durability,” said Siddharth Bhatia, managing director, AB Energia Solutions Pvt. Ltd. He added that the move aligns with the government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision amid shifting global trade policies and rising protectionism.

The expansion comes at a time when India’s solar capacity is scaling rapidly, supported by government incentives and rising demand for clean energy infrastructure. By entering structure manufacturing, AB Energia is seeking to reinforce supply chain resilience and capture a larger share of value within the solar EPC ecosystem.

AB Energia, which operates across India and the GCC, provides EPC solutions spanning floating solar, industrial rooftop, carport and ground-mounted projects. The company said the new unit underpins its strategy of positioning itself as an integrated, quality-driven player in the renewable energy space.
