With less than three months to go for the end of current year, India has registered around 2.85 million electric three-wheelers across the country till date, as of October 17, 2025. According to the VAHAN Dashboard, over 1,000 electric three-wheeler manufacturers are currently registered. However, many of these startups are struggling to establish themselves in an increasingly competitive market, where electric three-wheelers and two-wheelers continue to dominate the Indian EV landscape.
The three wheeler EV market is mostly dominated by roughly 7 percent of the manufacturers, with top 75 electric 3 wheeler manufacturers (out of 1025 registered so far) accounting for over 99 percent of the total e3w sales in India.
The top five EV manufacturers show interesting numbers and are the only companies who saw their individual e3w sales cross 1 lakh units. Together they account for a mammoth 6,82,000 EV sales so far, claiming a market share of about 25 percent of the total.
We look at these top 5 e3w manufacturers who are at the helm of EV revolution in EV three wheeler segment.
