The Top 5: Electric Motorcycles in India in 2023

Electric vehicles started competing with conventional fossil fuel-run vehicles in the last few years. The year 2022 was a significant year for EVs, as it saw the addition of over 10 million new BEVs and PHEVs to the global EV fleet, a 55 percent increase from 2021. Just like many other major economies, India too has witnessed a surge in electric mobility. However, India’s EV market is dominated not by electric cars but by the electric two-wheeler (e2w)—electric motorcycle—segment.

The Economic Survey 2023 predicts that India’s domestic electric vehicle market will see a 49 percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR) between 2022 and 2030.

Electric motorcycles are set to lead the EV market in 2023, and with so many options available for buyers now, it’s hard to choose the best electric motorcycle for your commute.
