The only key difference other than that was  land being under developers scope with efficiency of 85% and availability metric set at 95% with annual degradation of 2.5% allowed yoy. That is probably what provided the Gujarat based KP Group with the confidence to bid at the prices they did.

The tender follows the recent trend of winners almost in double digits, with the six other winners being MEC Power solutions (65 MW), Samavist Energy Solutions (100 MW), Stockwell Solar Services (130 MW), Solar91 Cleantech Limited  (65 MW), Viviana Power Tech (65 MW) and Rajesh Power Services (65 MW).

The award comes at a crucial time for India's energy transition, with solar power surplus during solar hours becoming an increasing bottleneck due to lack of adequate demand growth and storage. Curtailment has made a strong comeback this year, and the situation remains too close to uncomfortable for many developers with transmission infra also struggling to keep pace.   the commissioning period for this tender is 18 months plus 9 months with LD, so 2027-28 onwards effectively.

Among firms that missed out, it is interesting to see that listed firm Acme Solar made a big for a huge 640 MW parcel at a price of Rs 270,000/MW/month, almost 40% higher than the winning bid.
