Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis and interpretation of site measurement data and production data, including SCADA, Met Mast, SODAR & LiDAR
  • Modelling of wind flow using linear and non-linear wind flow models
  • Calculation of energy yield assessment and technical losses
  • Site compliance analysis according to IEC standards
  • Feasibility study report preparation
  • Prepare internal assessments and reports following detailed approval procedures
  • Due diligence analysis for wind resource, energy yield and project layout/site suitability analysis
  • Performance review of operational sites
  • Management of projects and budgets
  • Client interfacing and relationship management
  • Interface with turbine suppliers to assess turbine suitability
  • Awareness of the market and on-going innovation in technology and research

Candidate Specification:


  • Master’s degree in engineering or relevant science subject


  • 1 – 5 years’ experience in Wind Energy Yield Analysis preferable; otherwise evidence of excellent numerical and analytical skills and aptitude for simulation work
  • Knowledge of using Windographer, WindFarmer, WindPro and WASP is an advantage
  • Experience in pre-construction and operational energy yield assessments for onshore and offshore wind projects is an advantage
  • Experience working in an engineering consultancy, OEM supplier, developer, or operator of wind projects is an advantage
  • Experience with CFD wind flow models, layout optimisations, conducting site classification assessments including turbulence intensity and extreme winds is an advantage
  • Experience of reviewing other people’s work is an advantage
  • Excellent English communication and reporting skills
  • Ability to write clear and precise technical reports for a non-technical audience
  • Ability to work as part of a regional and global team
