Job Description

  • Responsible for installing, troubleshooting (Emergency Repair) and maintaining of production tools in the lines.
  • This includes Preventive, Predictive & Repair Maintenance activities for all manufacturing production tools such as electrical systems, motors, vacuum pumps, conveyors, Robots, and material handling machines.
  • Ensure assigned PM – Job Plans and Work Orders from CMMS system are carried out timely and comply with PM requirements.
  • Work closely with relevant teams such as ME, MFG and Maintenance area Engineers to support day to day activities and challenges.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:-

  • Complete daily assignments as scheduled and as directed by Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Perform on-site service and repair of equipment.
  • Follow EHS and First Solar safe practices on all work assignments.
  • To identify and recommend cost savings opportunities.
  • Ability to interpret and understand mechanical drawing
  • Responsible to manage waste generated from any work that is performed and dispose according to ISO14001 waste management procedures.

This includes but is not limited to:-

  • Remove hazardous waste such as HEPA filters / pre filters/spent oil/ E-waste.
  • Segregation of metal and nonmetal waste
  • Disposal and segregation of contaminated and non-contaminated waste
  • Make sure all empty drums or chemical containers are properly labeled. Work with Waste Management Team to make sure the containers or drums is located and disposed as per regulations.
  • Responsible for adherence to all ISO45001 safety procedures, good housekeeping standards and wearing of PPE.
  • Notify EHS Department if there are questions or concerns with the management of hazardous waste.


  • Diploma in electrical/electronic or electro-mechanical engineering preferred


  • 1 – 2 years of relevant experience for diploma holders or
  • No working experience is required for fresh entries with technical Diploma from recognized institution (OJT will be provided)


  • Able to work as a team
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Always follow First Solar EHS Safe Work Practices
  • Effective communication skills


  • Computer Literate (MS applications – Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
  • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
  • Knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, Vacuum Systems and Robotic.
  • Capable of following LOTO procedures
  • Demonstrated analytical troubleshooting skill.
  • Must be capable of entering data or pass downs into/from the CMMS/Maximo system.
